Microsoft Teams Premium
Teams Premium is an upgrade to existing Microsoft Teams subscriptions that allows users greater meeting and webinar customization and control, and incorporates AI to help users find recordings and information faster.
It offers a more personalized and secure experience, catered towards users who host regular meetings and webinars. In particular, the use of AI provides live captions during meetings, with live translations also available. The AI intelligence recap suggests action items to users following meetings to assist with tasks, and helps them navigate recordings and transcriptions quickly and easily.
Microsoft InTune Suite
The Microsoft Intune Suite is now available. It’s a comprehensive platform that offers a range of advanced endpoint management features to simplify endpoint management, improve user experience, and protect hybrid workforces. This suite includes several solutions such as remote help, endpoint privilege management, tunnel for mobile app management, management of specialty devices, and an initial set of advanced endpoint analytics capabilities.
Microsoft plans to add additional capabilities to the suite in the future, including a third-party app catalog, automated app patching, cloud certificate management, multiple managed accounts on a single device, and other advanced capabilities
Viva Engage
Microsoft Viva Engage is a new app integrated in Teams and powered by Yammer services. It aims to deliver high-value employee experiences like community building, leadership engagement, and knowledge sharing. Posts and storylines can include links, files, photos, and videos to engage co-workers and followers.
Viva Engage contributes to Viva Connections and Topics, with features like virtual events, pinned conversations, and announcement notifications across Outlook and Teams.
Loop components in Whiteboard
The latest Whiteboard update introduces new Loop components to ensure seamless collaboration and coordination among team members. Users can now easily copy and paste existing Loop components from Teams, Outlook, and Word for the web into Whiteboard. Any modifications made to a Loop component within Whiteboard will reflect across all other platforms where the component exists.
Moreover, the new timer function in Whiteboard helps keep all meeting attendees focused and on track with their agenda items. The timer can be set by the meeting facilitator, visually showing the remaining time for each team member to complete their tasks. This feature ensures that all participants stay focused and work efficiently to achieve their objectives.
Outlook meeting recap
Outlook on the web has introduced a new attribute called “Meeting Recap” that enables the participants to quickly retrieve meeting material, such as recordings, from the calendar event. Once the meeting concludes, users can navigate to their calendar to find links to the meeting artifacts for easy access.
However, it’s important to note that this feature currently only supports meetings scheduled through Microsoft Teams, with a few limitations. For instance, auto-recorded meetings in Teams will not show up in the recap, and neither will Teams channel meetings, group calendar meetings, or ad-hoc meetings.
SharePoint external file request
SharePoint Document Library’s File Request feature allows users to easily and safely request and receive files from others without any hassle. By selecting a particular folder in SharePoint Document Library, users can invite others to upload files through a shared link. The users who are requested to upload files can only upload them and are not authorized to modify, delete, download, or view the contents of the folder or see who else has uploaded files.
The Request Files feature can be enabled or disabled for SharePoint sites by admins using the SharePoint Online Management Shell.
